Welcome Center Rhein-Neckar

Are you an international student planning to start your career in the region? You would like to prepare for the first steps and you need some support? Then register for the "International Students Welcome"!

"International Students Welcome" is a joint project funded by the "Welcome Center Rhein-Neckar" and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism of the State of Baden-Württemberg. The cities of Heidelberg and Mannheim as well as the universities in the Rhine-Neckar Region and the Bundesagentur für Arbeit (Federal Employment Agency) are active members of this collaboration.

Different workshops for international students are offered throughout the year and the contents cover different application topics eg. how to apply for a job position, what an application should look like, and language and cultural difficulties.

Next Application Training: Applying successfully for a job in Germany a Workshop by Welcome Center Rhein-Neckar

Are you an international student and planning to look for employment in Germany after graduation? You're probably wondering how to prepare your application documents and what criteria a recruiter looks for when deciding whether to invite someone for an interview. Then once you land the interview - what questions can be asked, how do you answer them, and how do you best convey your skills in the short time available? All these questions, as well as other topics concerning your application, will be explained in detail in the ISW workshop.

Content Update:
During the second part a presentation by Aline Plachky (Expert Talent Acquisition, Deutsche Bahn) will be included. Get informed about recruitment by DB and working options for international students / experts

Dates (German time):
First part: Wednesday, November 30th, 2022 from 04:00 to 07:00 pm in English
Second part: Wednesday, December 07th, 2022 from 04:00 to 07:00 pm in slow German

Workshop Language:
A first part of the workshop will be conducted in English. A second part in slow German (German language skills are desirable - B1). If you are preparing for a job application or interview and would like to brush up on your German language skills, this workshop is for you. Sign up, we are looking forward to it!

Event place:
The workshop is taking place in a face-to-face mode; if conditions do not permit, it will be hold digitally via MS Teams.

Fees:
The workshop is finance by the “Welcome Center Rhein-Neckar” with the support from the Ministry of Economy, Labour and Tourism Baden-Württemberg. The workshop is free of charge for the participants

Certificate:
After successful participation in the workshop you can receive a certificate from the General Studies Programme of SRH University Heidelberg and possibly gain Credit Points. The decision of recognition of this CPs can only be made by the faculty.
