With our offer of language courses as part of Studium Generale we support you in expanding your world.
Our language courses
Are you planning a stay abroad, for example at one of our international partner universities? Then take advantage of the opportunity to improve your language skills in advance or build up new ones: With our language courses. Because a foreign language is not just another building block on your CV with which you later apply: with a foreign language you make friends, get to know other cultures and broaden your horizons. At our university, you have the opportunity to choose from a variety of different language courses: Whether Russian, Spanish or Japanese - whether beginner, advanced or even subject-related. Here you will experience language as the "key to the world" (Wilhelm von Humboldt).
Next start of language courses from 17.05.2021- Registration via CampusNet between 30.04.2021 and 14.05.2021.
Please note that almost all courses for the summer semester will be offered digitally due to the COVID19 situation. Language courses for Chinese are expected to take place again from spring.Download course overview

As soon as the maximum number of participants is reached, you will be put on a waiting list in Campusnet. You will also be informed before the course starts. As there may be collisions with the regular schedule during the first two weeks and there are cancellations, there is a possibility of skipping the course. In this case you will receive an e-mail from us about free places.
All external lecturers have a university e-mail address. This is usually as follows: email@example.com. In addition, you can contact them directly via MS Teams (in the context of your digital lecture in MS Teams). Many lecturers will also provide you with their private e-mail address. If the lecturer does not respond, please contact Studium-Generale.firstname.lastname@example.org - we will establish the contact for you.
If you fail the exam, you will not be awarded any credit points. We will gladly confirm your participation in the course.
